Plastic Logic Limited is a spinout from Sir Richard Friend’s and Prof
Henning Sirringhaus’ activities in printed electronics at the Cavendish
Laboratory. We now operate from 10,000 sq ft premises on the Cambridge
Science comprising clean room, laboratories and offices.
Our premises were originally built in the early 1980s and required substantial refurbishment before we could move in. We used Able Construction initially in 2001 when we first occupied part of our current premises. They stripped out the building, did much of the office work and collaborated closely with our specialist clean room contractor. When we expanded at the end of 2002, we used Able Construction again for a similar range of tasks.
These were both important projects for Plastic Logic. We were very pleased with the timeliness, quality and value for money with which the jobs were completed. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Gary again.

I am very pleased to supply you with a written reference with regard to the successful kitchen refurbishment programme carried out by your firm over the Christmas holiday period 2005.
This was a major project carried out of term time to budget and to a very high standard. It was necessary to complete the removal of the old fittings and installation of the new kitchen units, plumbing, electrics, etc, within a strict time scale over the holiday period in order to avoid minimum disruption to the workings of the Centre.
The Director and Management Committee of the Lauterpacht Centre are delighted with the result.

Subject: Able Construction

Able Construction have come out a number of contracts for me including interior decoration and building work, but in particular the complete replacement of a central heating system. This involved installing 17 radiators and replacing all pipe work and in addition a new boiler. The work was undertaken during the winter and could not have been completed more quickly or with greater efficiency. Disruption was kept to a minimum and on completion the house was thoroughly cleaned. Throughout the installation was kept fully informed as to how the contract was progressing.
Garry Heslop visits the site at least once a day and his staff are punctual pleasant and above all reliable. in my experience Able Construction always meets the schedule for completion am very satisfied with their work and fully expect to employ them again I can recommend Able Construction without reservation and with complete confidence.
